Official Vatican photograph autographed by Pope Benedict XVI. This signed, original portrait photo - which measures 12" x 8" - was one of the first autographed by Pope Benedict XVI after his elevation to the papacy. It is rare and interesting because it is one of the few signed Benedict items that contains the raised seal of his secretary. The Holy Father's private secretary, Monsignor Ganswein, discontinued the practice of using the embossed seal on photographs and other 'unofficial" documents after his installation as the Pope's assistant. Autographs from this Pope are hard to come by - so this is a rare find for the papal collector.
