Historically significant pocket patch removed from the Cardinal's cassock that Giuseppe Sarto wore the very day he was elevated to the papacy as Pope Pius X. In effect, it was his first garment worn as Pope and last as Cardinal. Importantly, it is accompanied by an original letter documenting the provenance from none other than Blessed Luigi Guanella, who was a close friend of Sarto and an assistant to Saint John Bosco in his works for underprivileged young men. This is a rare combination of a letter signed by an important Catholic priest who has been beatified along with a true piece of papal histroy in the form of a cassock pacth from the last Pope to be canonized.
